What do you mean your AI did the journal entry? Just closed a deal. Normally, after closing, I send my accountants a full journal entry—every debit and credit, every account balanced. Painful, manual, and prone to the $5-off rabbit hole all accountants know. So I ran an experiment. I did it the old way—several hours, a few mistakes, backtracking, and double-checking each line twice. Then I fed the closing docs into Claude and ChatGPT Operator III. Operator III won. Not on the first try. Took four prompts, some clarifications, and my experience to guide it. But the final journal entry was identical to mine, down to the penny. Just Remember... AI can give you something that balances, but it is completely wrong if you don’t know what to look for. Garbage in, garbage out? Sure. But also: No judgment in, no judgment out. AI doesn’t replace expertise. It rewards it. If you already know how things should work, AI becomes your fastest analyst. This is how real professionals should be thinking about AI: Not magic. Not a shortcut for rookies. But a time-saver for those who already have the experience.
