Smart" Survey or Savvy Selection?
Oh, look! Another tech survey claiming 82% of renters are dying for smart home gadgets. Because nothing says "accurate representation" like polling people already browsing a website, right?
Let's get real for a sec:
Most renters I know are more concerned with smart landlords than smart thermostats.
The only "Internet of Things" many renters want is reliable Wi-Fi that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Electronic locks? More like electronic headaches:
"Sorry I'm late to work; my door app crashed."
"Great, now my landlord can track my comings and goings. Because that's not creepy at all."
"Awesome, a hacker can now lock me out of my own apartment. Thanks, technology!"
Remember, just because a survey is "smart" doesn't mean it's clever. Next time, try asking the guy still using a flip phone in 2024 what he thinks about IoT. Now, that would be a truly representative sample!
Surveys are supposed to represent the entire market, but this one's about as balanced as a tightrope walker with vertigo. It's like they've confused "market research" with "preaching to the choir." Next time, maybe they should try surveying people who think "the cloud" is still just something in the sky. Now, that would be a breath of fresh air in the stuffy world of online surveys!
