There are 5 ways people actually learn:
1. Modeling โ Watch someone better than you. Not your buddy. A pro.
2. Roleplaying โ Safe reps. Controlled feedback. Like sparring before a fight.
3. Testing โ Quizzes, flashcards, drills. If you canโt recall it, you donโt know it.
4. Doing (with Feedback) โ Real-world reps. You get betterโฆ until you stop.
5. Teaching โ If you canโt explain it, you donโt really understand it.
Hereโs what few will tell you:
Most people stop at step 4. They do a thing enough to not mess it upโฆ
But they never sharpen the edge.
They donโt reflect. They donโt ask, โWhy did that work?โ or โWhat did I miss?โ
They hit โgood enoughโ and coast.
You donโt just need more time in the gameโyou need higher-quality feedback.
Otherwise, youโre just reinforcing bad habits.
Good reps with bad input donโt make you better. They make you stuck.
Model > Practice > Test > Do (with feedback) > Teach.
Then repeatโwith more intention.
