From “I can’t code” to “I built an app in a day” — welcome to the new world of vibe coding.
“I haven't done any real coding since VBA… and even that felt like a stretch.
But yesterday, I built a working app in one afternoon—with no code.”
That’s not hype. That’s what happened.
I’m a reader. I love great quotes, poems, and bite-sized wisdom—and I wanted an app to help me memorize them. I found a few in the app store… but $30/year for something that hides a few words from a quote? No thanks.
So I gave Claude (yes, the AI) a few screenshots and a prompt:
“Build me something like this, but let me make it myself—no code.”
It replied with a super prompt.
I tested a few no-code platforms (Bubble, Glide, etc.), but they felt too heavy. Too technical.
Then I dropped that prompt into Replit—and watched it start building my custom app.
Is it buggy? Sure.
Is it functional? Surprisingly, yes.
Is it mind-blowing? Absolutely.
What I realized:
This isn’t coming soon—this is here now.
SaaS companies better pay attention. Custom micro-apps are becoming commodities.
The next tech wave might not be about the best engineers. It might be about the best prompt engineers.
If you’re even slightly curious, try it.
Give AI your idea. Feed it screenshots. Build with it.
You’ll be shocked at how far “I can’t code” will still get you.

A few questions for you:
Is vibe coding the start of a new kind of software disruption?
