AI is a big deal, no doubt. But do we really need it to tell us the basics of resident satisfaction? It’s no shocker that the top complaints are about maintenance issues or that a friendly, responsive team brings in high ratings. Check the usual chart on “What drives positive reviews?”—it’s always about the onsite teams, the location, and maintenance. And the top complaints? Maintenance problems, poor management, and bad communication. Groundbreaking stuff, right?
The core truths are simple: Do the Basics consistently -i.e., keep the place well-maintained, have a great staff, and quickly fix things. AI can speed up feedback analysis and maybe pick up on smaller trends we might miss. But if it’s just repeating the obvious, perhaps we should double-check those ROI calculations on the new tech. Next, they’ll slap AI on the toaster, telling you your life choices based on how dark you like your toast.
